Ndola Schools of Nursing & Midwifery

Ndola Schools of Nursing & Midwifery is a composition of the General Nursing and Midwifery School. The School is situated at Ndola Central Hospital, 2½ km from the Town Centre. It is located in Ndola on the Copperbelt Province.

Background

The General Nursing School was officially opened in 1973 and was funded by World Bank and the School of  Midwifery opened 4 years later, in August 1977.

Mission Statement

Training for the two schools involve extensive theory and practice in the provision of acceptable standards of professionalism. It also provokes for excellence in Client/Patient Care through the new Challenges of Health Reforms, e.g.

-          Primary Health Care

-          Quality Assurance

-          And infection Control Programme

In these scenarios, the nurse would be more capable of meeting the expanded role of the modern nurse.

At the end of the programme the deserving granduants receive awards which are supported by our donors mainly from Ndola District Community and few from Lusaka.
